CEO
Dr. Ben Song is the CEO and founder of ActsPower Technologies Inc. that was founded in 2004 as California Corporation. He has 18 years of experience in defense communication systems and electronic devices and has held several technical and managerial positions with Conexus, General Atomics, Virginia Tech, and KERI. He received his Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virgina Tech). He is recognized as an International Who’s Who of Professionals and is also a Senior Member of IEEE.
Management Team
The company has a very impressive management team. Executive Chairman, Jai Bhagat is a pioneer in the wireless industry, who co-founded SkyTel Corporation and served as CEO/Vice-Chairman, and was inducted into the Wireless Hall of Fame in 2003. The founder and CEO, Dr. Ben Song served as President and CTO of Conexus.

Jai Bhagat has over 35 years experience in the wireless communication field. He was a former co-founder and CEO of nationwide paging firm SkyTel Corp, which was sold to MCI WorldCom in 1999 for $1.6 billion. At ActsPower, he is responsible for the strategy development and overseeing the direction of the company to be successful. Mr. Bhagat was appointed by the Governor of Mississippi to serve on the Board of Momentum Mississippi, an organization created to help formulate a long- range economic development plan for the state. Mr. Bhagat received his MS degree in electrical engineering from Howard University, Washington, DC, and completed the Executive Management program at Stanford University.
Senior Staff
Our senior staff has a strong background and several years of experience in RF/wireless communication systems and circuits.
- Dr. Nader Damavandi, Head of RF R&D Team
Dr. Damavandi has more than ten years of experience in design and development of RF/microwave circuits and subsystems for high reliability wireless and satellite communication systems. He received his Ph.D. degree from University of Waterloo. His expertise and activities covers RF systems, RF/microwave Filters, Diplexers, Low Noise Amplifiers, PLLs, Up/Down-Converters, Antennas, and EM optimization.
- Dr. Sasan Nikneshan, Head of Wireless Communication R&D Team
Dr. Nikneshan has 10 years of experience in digital communications and signal processing, OFDM, smart antenna and MIMO systems. He received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, in 2001. He has held technical positions through Valence Semiconductor, Inc. and RFTune, Inc.
- Dr. Amirreza Khajehnasiri, Head of RF System Computational Team
Dr. Khajehnasiri has more than 6 years of experience in design and development of Integrated Radio-Antenna Systems, RF/Microwave Components and Systems for Wireless Communications, Computational Electromagnetics, and Fast Methods for Multi-layer Planar Structures. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Waterloo.
